📜 The Book of the Fribblesaic Law 📜
SECTION 1: DEFINITIONS and PROVISIONS
{1.1} There are three classes of violations: (1) Misdemeanors, (2) Felonies, (3) Villainy
{1.2} Limitations: Violations will be punished ONLY if charges are pressed. Violations must be tried in court with a judge and at least one other uninvolved player.
{1.3} A judge is a trustworthy player elected by the people to serve in this office. There may be more than one judge in office at a time, but only one judge presides over each court trial. Fribbs the overlord is a judge.
{1.4} Fines will be charged in diamonds. Fines must be paid in full within 7 days of sentencing. Failure to comply results in tempban (not more than 1 day per unpaid diamond).
{1.5} Regarding new laws:
{1.5.1} cannot be introduced without a majority of the Associated Crafters present
{1.5.2} must be signed off by a judge
{1.5.2} cannot be enforced retroactively
{1.5.3} reasonable effort must be taken to inform players of newly enacted laws
SECTION 2: MISDEMEANORS
{2.1} The following actions are misdemeanors:
*Leaving 1x1 towers or holes
*Building too close (see section 2.3)
*Spontaneous griefing
*Damage
*Destruction
*Explosives
*Chat spamming
*Public Nuisance
*Murder (unwanted PVP that results in death)
{2.2} Griefing of property cannot be punished unless ownership of the area has been marked in some visible way.
{2.3} New builds must be located a minimum of 16 blocks from another player's property, unless written permission is obtained beforehand.
{2.4} Clarification: When is PVP unwanted? If a player makes it clear through text or voice chat that they are not interested in engaging in combat, PVP is unwanted. PVP against an AFK player is unwanted. A player who deliberately "throws the first punch" cannot later claim that the PVP was unwanted.
{2.5} Sentence in the case of property damage: immediate rebuild of damaged property. Failure to comply constitutes a felony.
{2.6} Sentence in the case of murder: return any and all dropped inventory and monetary reparations for emotional damage (not to exceed 10 diamonds). Failure to comply constitutes a felony. Third and subsequent offence constitutes a felony regardless.
SECTION 3: FELONIES
{3.1} The following actions are felonies:
*Repeated misdemeanor murder (third and subsequent offence)
*Failure to comply with misdemeanor sentencing
{3.2} Sentence determined by the presiding judge is one or more of the following: reparations, fine up to 64 diamonds, tempban up to 14 days.
{3.3} Escalation: three felony strikes constitutes villainy. However, strikes can be forgiven by performing community service (building community afk farms, public services, road building, etc).
SECTION 4: VILLAINY
{4.1} The following actions are villainy:
*Three felony strikes
*Murder by lava
*Spawncamping
*Total destruction of another player's base or public building
*Premeditated griefing
*Profanity
*Unchristian conduct
*Severe offenses
{4.2} Sentence determined by the presiding judge is one or more of the following: reparations, fine up to 256 diamonds, tempban up to 180 days, permaban.
{4.3} Community uproar clause: A player participating in actions not addressed by Fribblesaic Law can still be classified as Villainous by unanimous server vote and thereafter sentenced as such.
